“T hese room s w ere pretty piecem eal,” K athy
says. “W e redecorated every o th er room , but we
never got around to these.” T he furniture and
red-and-yellow color schem e K athy and David
chose w hen they m oved in 12 years ago fit the
Federal farm house style b u t later started to feel
out o f step w ith th e rest of their hom e.
Stephen’s plan: Keep the hom e’s historic
charm but bring in a new sense o f sophistication
w ith updated furniture and wall color.
